Proust (“Proust”, “the Service”, “we”, “us”) is an AI executive-assistant service for founders. It reads the inbox and calendar you connect, prepares email drafts for your approval, and sends you a short daily brief. Proust prepares work for you. It does not send email to other people as you.
Proust is provided by QuantumColleagues Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17219359. This policy explains what data Proust accesses from your Google Account, how that data is used, and the choices available to you.
When you connect a Google Account, Proust requests only the access it needs to run the Service:
gmail.modify): Proust reads incoming mail to triage and prioritise it, prepares draft replies in your Drafts folder for you to approve, and marks mail it has handled as read. This scope does not permit permanent deletion of your mail.calendar.readonly): Proust reads your calendar to flag clashes, prepare you ahead of meetings, and include your schedule in your daily brief. Proust does not create or change calendar events.userinfo.email, userinfo.profile): your email address and basic profile, such as your name, identify your account and personalise your briefings.Proust does not send email through your Gmail account. When Proust sends its own messages, such as your welcome note or daily brief, it sends them from its own QuantumColleagues mailbox, not from you.
We use this information solely to provide and operate Proust for you: triaging and prioritising your mail, preparing drafts for your approval, reading your diary for context, and producing your daily brief. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train generalised or third-party AI models.
Project reports are an optional feature. This feature is off until you switch it on in your Proust control panel. When it is on, Proust builds your project plan only from the mail you copy or forward to Proust’s own mailbox, and never from the rest of your inbox. Once a week it sends the project report to you alone.
If you use Microsoft 365 and choose to add your Planner board, Proust asks you once for read only access to it (Tasks.Read). It reads the board and never changes it. With a Google Account, project reports run on Proust’s own built-in planner, so Proust needs no extra Google access for them.
Proust keeps your plan and your past reports in your own instance, under the same retention rules as the rest of your data.
Proust’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular: we use Google user data only to provide and improve the Proust features you have enabled; we do not sell this data; we do not use it for advertising; we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the Service, for security or legal reasons, or in connection with a merger or acquisition with appropriate notice; and we do not allow humans to read your data except where you have given consent, where it is necessary for security or to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymised.
We keep the list of third parties short, and use them only to deliver the Service:
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else, except where we are required to by law or to protect the security of the Service.
We keep your data only as long as needed to run Proust for you. When you stop using Proust or revoke access, we delete the data Proust holds within 30 days.
You are in control. You can disconnect Proust at any time from your Google Account security settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and you can ask us to delete your data by writing to the address below. Revoking access stops Proust reading your account immediately.
If you are in the UK or the EU, you have rights under UK GDPR and the GDPR, including the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below. The data controller is QuantumColleagues Ltd (company number 17219359).
We may update this policy as Proust develops. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, tell you directly.
