Proust (“Proust”, “the Service”, “we”, “us”) is an AI executive-assistant service that helps founders manage their email and calendar. It is operated by QuantumColleagues Ltd as part of the QuantumColleagues™ product family. This policy explains what information Proust accesses from your Google Account, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.
When you connect your Google Account, you grant Proust the access listed below. We request only what is needed to run the Service:
gmail.modify): Proust reads incoming messages to classify, prioritise and summarise them; marks messages as read or processed; applies labels; and prepares draft replies for your approval. Proust does not permanently delete your messages.gmail.send): Proust sends replies that you have approved, and Proust’s own daily briefing emails, from your account.calendar.readonly): Proust reads your calendar events to provide meeting context and to include your schedule in your daily brief. Proust does not create or change calendar events.userinfo.email, userinfo.profile): your email address and basic profile, such as your name, are used to identify your account and to personalise your briefings. We use this information solely to provide and operate Proust for you: triaging and summarising your mail, preparing drafts, sending messages you approve, and producing your daily brief. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train generalised or third-party AI models.
Proust’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular: we use Google user data only to provide and improve the Proust features you have enabled; we do not sell this data; we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the Service, for security or legal reasons, or in connection with a merger or acquisition with appropriate notice; and we do not allow humans to read your data except where you have given consent, where it is necessary for security or to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymised.
Google data processed by Proust is held within the Proust service environment operated by QuantumColleagues Ltd. Sensitive fields are encrypted at rest, and access is restricted to the systems and personnel needed to run and support the Service. We retain your data only for as long as needed to provide the Service to you.
We do not sell your personal data or your Google user data. We share it only with the infrastructure and processing providers needed to run Proust — currently our hosting provider and the third-party AI provider (Anthropic) used to process message content and generate summaries and drafts — under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms, and only to the extent needed to deliver the Service to you.
Your data may be processed in the United Kingdom and in other countries where our providers operate. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable data-protection law.
You can revoke Proust’s access to your Google Account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. You may also contact us to request access to, or deletion of, the data Proust holds about you. Revoking access stops further processing, and we will delete the associated data on request.
Proust is intended for use by professionals and is not directed at children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
